Tankwa-Karoo National Park
Tankwa Karoo National Park is situated on the southern boundary of the Northern Cape with the Roggeveld Escarpment in the East, Cederberg in the West, and Klein Roggeveld Mountains in the South. The Park lies about 70 km due west of Sutherland near the border of the Northern Cape and Western Cape, in one of the most arid regions of South Africa, temperature in the park during summer is ±38.9 °C, and in July the average is 5.7 °C.

- Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 17:00

- Saturday: 07:30 - 17:00
- Sunday / Public Holiday: 10:00 - 16:00.
- Pets are not allowed in a National Park.
- No firearms are allowed in the park accommodation
- It is an offence to pick flowers or to remove plants or any other material from the park.
- The use of drones is strictly prohibited in/around all national parks
- Motorcycles are allowed in the park.
- No shops, restaurants, public phones or ATMs in the park.
- No cellular reception within the Park as well as main access roads.
