Accommodation in Thornybush Game Reserve

Thornybush Main Lodge - Thornybush

Adjacent to the Greater Kruger National Park lies 11 500 hectares of pristine African bushveld, which is Thornybush Game Reserve. With an abundance of bird and mammal species including the 'Big 5', it is also home to five exclusive lodges.

All lodges have sparkling swimming pools and offer exciting dawn and dusk safaris from open landrovers with fully qualified rangers and trackers, and bush walks for the more adventurous.

The Guerlain Institute spa offers 18 treatments, including full-body exfoliating, at good value.

Thornybush Game Reserve now boasts a Main Lodge with stylish air-conditioned suites and extensive living areas over looking the seasonal Monwana River. Thornybush Main Lodge has 18 suites and 2 family suites and can cater for up to 40 guests.

Between exciting safaris take a moment to browse in the intimate library or simply relax at the pool with your favourite cocktail as you bask in Africa's glorious sunshine. An airy lounge, rustic bar and patio overlooks the Monwana River bed. Excellent cuisine can be savoured in the bush or air-conditioned dining room, or at the fireside in the "boma" under a canopy of stars.
